Defensa.com echoes CBRNe Summit Europe 2017, an international forum on state-of-the-art technologies in CBRNe area, held in Madrid from April 24 to 27, 2017.
Madrid hosted the fourth edition of this forum which on its own merits has become the reference in Europe in the field of innovation and research on technology and capabilities to address the dangers and threats of biological attacks or incidents, Chemical and radiological.
Organized by OSDIFE (Observatory on Security and CBRNe Defense), and sponsored by NATO JCBRN Defense Center of Excellence, this fourth edition focused on the threats of biological, chemical and radiological attacks in large-city environments and the latest technologies and Techniques for first responder and emergency units.
Within the framework of the congress, Hispano Vema developed the conference "Challenges to efficient and effective biological, chemical and radiological decontamination". In this lecture, Rafael Arruga (Director of Business Development of Hispano Vema) emphasized the importance of the correct balance between Decontamination Agents, Decontamination Equipment and Application Methods as a fundamental key to ensure effective and efficient decontamination.
The interaction of these three parameters and the correct analysis and identification of both the agents used in the attack and the materials, objects or people affected by it, are part of the basic work that the first response or emergency units must perform to ensure The highest level of protection and decontamination against chemical, biological and radiological threats or incidents.
